Leslie County Ky - Thursday July 18th

It's amazing how fast time is flying with so much work and so many activities. It seems like we just got here and we only have one day to go. One team finished their project yesterday and moved over to help another - no one has time to get bored ;-)

We have a group that their home owner has live chickens so they got a couple of live chickens in a box and are took them as a gift to a family where we did a lot of work last year - probably about 2 hours from here. There was a large group (15?) that went to visit a few of those families from last year.

The rest of us went to a local blue grass performance here in Hyden. We learned some country bluegrass steps from some of the locals who were so excited to have the youth come to their event. They let us all in for free and we had a wonderful time. I danced with several of the local ladies in town and i'm getting good at the country two step!

We then all made the trek to Tropical Sno which is a local shaved ice establishment. Its basicaly like snow cones but with 50 flavors but my favorite was one with fresh strawberries and cream added to the shaved ice. What a treat for the end of a hard days work in the heat. We have several adults ready to start a franchise in Libertyville!

Well, we're getting ready for our evening devotional and my group is leading tonight so I have to go. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little slower and we can get some time to upload a few more pictures and some final end of the week reporting from our teams.

Thanks for following our trip.
